Happy Saint Patricks Day! I am an Irish Cailin (Girl). If luck has anything to do with it, I don't know... but I am proud to come from the Emerald Isle and feel like I won the country of birth lottery. If you have never been to Ireland, put it on your bucket list. It is everything you imagined and more. The native people are some of the most friendly and hospitable people you will ever encounter. I have lived in many countries since I left Ireland back in the late 90s but Ireland has always been in my blood no matter where I lived. I will always be an ambassador for my home Country (Eire) and I miss the craic (fun) and banter. Many people have commented that I still have my Irish accent after all these years abroad and my answer has always been the same "I haven't heard a better one yet"
I was honored to have one of my Hat designs at the Saint Patricks Day Gala at the Hyatt Hotel on Saturday night here in Hong Kong. The hat was named Bláthanna lása, meaning simply "lace flowers" in Irish. My inspiration was Maureen O' Hara, a Dublin girl herself and I was also inspired by elegant women of Ireland. A lovely lady purchased the hat and all of the proceeds from the silent auction go to charity. The gala ball is run by the Saint Patricks Society Hong Kong. This year they also organized the first St Patricks day Parade in Hong Kong which was a great success. See below 360 video of the hat and some of my favorite things. All Irish!! Don't forget to wear green, everyone is Irish on Saint Patricks day. Thanks to the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick himself.

One of my designs named "Serpetine" very fitting for St Patricks day as Saint Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland!
Irish Milliner Jennifer Wrynne wins best dressed at cheltenham races March 2015. I think the emerald green outfit and hat are a winning combination.
My fair Lady - hat worn by Audrey Hepburn, designed by Irish Milliner Alice O' Reilly in collaboration with Cecil Beaton.
Sarah Jessica Parker wearing Irish Milliner Philip Treacy's design.
I was mesmerized by these glamorous Aer lingus air hostesses when I was a child in Ireland. I think they had a big impact on my love of hats. True glamour girls.
